Description
Japan Racing JR wheel spacers for stylish alignment.
JR wheel spacers will make a big difference with such a small modification. In case you have a hard time telling your car apart from a tram, it might be just about time to do something for that track width.
In perfect world, the wheel offset is chosen to offer both functionality and looks. However, e.g. in OEM wheels the offset (ET) is often rather shy, hiding those otherwise stylish wheels deep inside the fenders. This can be fixed with wheel spacers.
Using wheel spacers
Spacer is an extension to wheel hub, or the rim centre depending on which way you want to think of it. With 15mm thick spacer, your wheel will obviously be positioned 15mm more outward, and track width is increased by 30mm. For example, 19×8.0″ ET30 wheel would be converted to 19×8.0 ET15 using a 15mm spacer.
What kind of spacers to use?
- Spacer should always be centering type, with correct center bore for both sides
- Spacer should be precisely dimensioned to provide support for wheel hub
- Always make sure the wheel bolts have enough length for secure fitment
- Thicker spacers should usually be bolt-on type, which are secured to the wheel hub with their own bolts/nuts
Conservative OEM offset vs. a better fitment
JRWS2 spacers
JRWS2 are regular drilled spacers, with centering lip for both sides. Note: You might need longer wheel bolts depending on the spacer thickness.
JRWA1 spacers
JRWA1 are bolt-on spacers for cars that use lug bolts by default. Centering lip for both sides.
Spacers are secured to wheel hub with special made bolts (included), and wheel is mounted to integrated studs in the spacer.
Note: You might need a fresh set of JR lug nuts to finish the installation!
JRWA2 spacers
JRWA1 are bolt-on spacers for cars that use lug bolts by default. Centering lip for both sides.
Spacers are secured to wheel hub with special made bolts (included), and wheel is bolted in to the threaded spacer.
JRWA3 spacers
JRWA1 are bolt-on spacers for cars that use lug nuts by default. Centering lip for both sides.
Spacers are secured to wheel hub with special made lug nuts (included), and wheel is mounted to integrated studs in the spacer.
Always follow accurate tightening torque and check the torque after 300-400km of driving!
Please note that JR wheel spacers are not model specific E-certified parts, but instead universal wheel spacers that go by dimensions and thread type. Please check current regulations for your car from local inspection authority before entering any public roads.
