Akrapovic exhaust system, BMW M240i (F22, F23) 2016-2021
The Evolution Line exhaust system will propel the BMW M240i to the next step of performance tuning due to an increase in torque and power. Impeccably designed to fit perfectly within the lines of the car, this austenitic stainless steel system is finished with hand-crafted carbon-fibre tailpipes. It has a layout incorporating two central link pipes to replace the stock single version, designed for optimum flow of the exhaust gases.
A dual-mode ECU-controlled valve manages the sound levels, which ultimately delivers a deep and fulfilling sporty note as the revs rise. EC-compliant and easy to install, the Evolution Line system is a perfect accompaniment to an already spectacular car. This system does not work with OPF / GPF filters.
Akrapovic is known as one of, if not the most high-quality exhaust pipe brand in the automotive industry, which has also worked as a manufacturer of original pipes, e.g. for car brands like Koenigsegg. In addition, Akrapovic has more than 160 years of heritage in motorsport, both as an expert in motorcycle and car exhaust systems.
The manufacturer is known for its lightweight titanium pipes with their signature sound. Details of these systems, depending on the product, are typically finished with the highest quality prepreg carbon fiber or kevlar. Akrapovic exhaust system types
Depending on the model, Akra’s selection typically includes a easy Slip-on upgrade, which in some models can be expanded into an even more comprehensive, race/track oriented Evolution series package. In some models, Evolution system might be recommended with tuning of the engine or needs adjustments to the modern emission systems (OPF engines). Depending on the model, additional accessories for Akrapovic systems include carbon fiber rear diffusers or other upgrades that adapt the appearance of the new piping.
The Akrapovic Sound-Kit is an optional add-on to be installed in systems equipped with flap valves, this add-on enables manual control of the exhaust flaps from the switch / key fob on the dashboard, or from the Bluetooth application on the mobile phone.
