Akrapovic exhaust system, BMW 440i (F32, F33, F36) 2016-2020
Evolution exhaust systems for the BMW 440i are the result of the perfect integration of expertise, the best technology, and the use of the finest materials. Made of austenitic stainless steel, these systems feature a layout with two central mandatory link pipes replacing the single stock pipe. The system is finished with carbon fibre tailpipes. This sporty elegance makes this Bavarian machine stand out from the rest and offers the taste of a more powerful version, accentuated with the additional power gains and weight losses of the Evolution performance exhaust system.
The dual-mode ECU-controlled valve exhaust from Akrapovič offers stock-level sound at normal cruising, and a joyful deep sporty note when driving the 440i more dynamically.
Akrapovic is known as one of, if not the most high-quality exhaust pipe brand in the automotive industry, which has also worked as a manufacturer of original pipes, e.g. for car brands like Koenigsegg. In addition, Akrapovic has more than 160 years of heritage in motorsport, both as an expert in motorcycle and car exhaust systems.
The manufacturer is known for its lightweight titanium pipes with their signature sound. Details of these systems, depending on the product, are typically finished with the highest quality prepreg carbon fiber or kevlar. Akrapovic exhaust system types
Depending on the model, Akra’s selection typically includes a easy Slip-on upgrade, which in some models can be expanded into an even more comprehensive, race/track oriented Evolution series package. In some models, Evolution system might be recommended with tuning of the engine or needs adjustments to the modern emission systems (OPF engines). Depending on the model, additional accessories for Akrapovic systems include carbon fiber rear diffusers or other upgrades that adapt the appearance of the new piping.
The Akrapovic Sound-Kit is an optional add-on to be installed in systems equipped with flap valves, this add-on enables manual control of the exhaust flaps from the switch / key fob on the dashboard, or from the Bluetooth application on the mobile phone.
