Active Autowerke midpipes for BMW S55 engine in BMW M2 Competition F87
BMW M2 F87 models S55 engine and particularly it’s soundtrack are known to be divisive, you either love it or you hate it. This twinturbo engine comes with quite an unique, raspy and mixed sound unlike in any other BMW 6-cyl. engine. Luckily, this can be easily adjusted to suite your taste by a Active Autowerks midpipe of your choice.

S55 mid-pipe installation and fitment
This mid-pipe section reaches from original downpipe / exhaust system connection to the OEM rear muffler. Rear section should be cut according to instructions, and a new joint created with included accessories. When instructions are followed, the end result is nothing inferior to OEM quality.
Original rear muffler and it’s exhaust valves remain in use.
Single vs. Equal Length, which one to choose?
Single version smoothens out the “raspy” quality in S55 sound, while still maintaining the unique oem tone. Equal Length version adjusts the exhaust pulses to create and smooth, aggressive and rev friendly tone that BMW 6 cyls are known for.
