Turbosystems manufactures reasonably priced hybrid and performance turbochargers designed for demanding tuning applications. The “black compressor housings” are a familiar sight in many engine bays and specification lists of some of the fastest projects among enthusiast circles. They often appear in P-Gear listings or updates from the racetrack and quarter-mile events.

Turbo Installation and Compatibility

These turbochargers are model-specific, meaning they fit directly in place of the original unit without modifications or extensive adjustments. A larger turbo, however, will require proper tuning for your car’s engine to ensure optimal operation and to fully utilize the new capacity. OM642 Hybrid Turbo Benefits

With a reinforced and newly designed interior, the performance turbocharger provides significantly more output than the stock unit. This means more power and torque, but it also typically enhances the engine’s overall character, delivering better performance at higher RPMs. The stronger construction and improved airflow also allow for safer and more efficient use of higher boost pressures.
