Spool Performance FX-150 HPFP for Mercedes-Benz M276 engines
Spool Performance produces one of the most hardcore high pressure fuel pumps on the market, suitable for demanding tuner or racing use.

Most of the modern engines use a direct fuel injection system, where fuel is injected directly to the cylinder under a high pressure. In tuned engines the HPFP (High pressure fuel pump) can quickly become a restriction, as it’s workload exceeds the capacity it can offer with given rpm. As E85 ethanol builds are coming more and more common, this also demands up to 30% more capacity from the fuel system, hence the need for upgraded pump unit.

Mercedes M276 is known to be one rather heavily limited engine when it comes to fuel supply, symptoms with fuel rail pressure are often seen even with strong Stage1 tunes.

This FX-150 unit delivers approximately +50% compared to the stock pump, enabling you to use big turbo or ethanol blends safely.

Note: This pump kit is not designed for TU engine models (Supra, Z4).

Installation
Spool pump is relatively easy to fit, without need for special tools or equipment. Since we are still talking about fuel system, we do recommend an installation by professional.

Spool pump needs a bit of adjustment for pump control in Engine Control Unit software – needed parameters are readily available from many of the popular software brands – but these can also be delivered to your tuner upon request.

Low pressure fuel pump
Proper low pressure fueling is also extremely important for proper functioning and durability of the high pressure pumps and injectors in a DI system. Inadequate low pressure fueling can cause damage to the high pressure pump. If you’re tuning your engine beyond the limits of stock LPFP, please consider needed upgrades on that front as well.
