Benefits #1 – It’s finnish
For our finnish customers, a big factor might be that this device represents finnish design, allows you to use finnish made environment friendly E85 fuel, and by purchasing from us you’re supporting a finnish company.
For our international customers – you get to enjoy a small piece of Finland in a form of solid design and realiable operation.
Benefits #2 – Emissions and environment
E85 fuel is an environment friendly alternative for gas, allowing up to 80% lower emissions in the big picture.
Benefits #3 – Running costs
Due to the lower energy content of ethanol and E85, the amount of fuel injected for similar power output needs to be higher. Thus, consumption with E85 is approximately 20-30% higher with E85, depending on the vehicle, driving habits and the ethanol content you are running. In most countries the price of E85 in average is however significantly lower compared to gas, leaving a nice margin for savings in the long run.
Benefits #4 – POWER and performance
By switching to E85 fuel, the benefits are not limited to running costs or emissions. E85 fuel burns cleaner and cooler, therefore your engine will run smoother and more efficiently. In most of the countries local E85 fuel offers octane rating well over +100, making it a race friendly fuel too. Tuners of all kind have turned to E85 in last years to achieve up to 15-20% of extra power from their engines.

Benefits #5 – Traficom support
Our finnish customers are allowed to claim a government compensation from Traficom Muuntotuki after converting their car to flexfuel. Check up-to-date regulations from the link.
Downsides?
With E85 fuel, a slightly shorter oil change interval is recommended, due to the fact that E85 (especially in short journeys) tend to “wear down” your engine oil slightly faster than gasoline. A good quality oil compensates this nicely, moreover a modern one that has been optimized for E85 as well.
Our recommendation for E85 use are Amsoil Signature Series oils, which you can find from our selection. These superior quality oils have been optimized with E85 use taken into account.
The wellknown fact is, that cold temperatures can affect vehicle startup especially when using solely E85 fuel. eFlexfuel comes with automatic, adaptive cold start adjustment which learns from your start-ups and fine-tunes the enrichment on its own. This allows you to enjoy easier startups even during the darkest winter months, which we know all too well around here in Finland. Tested in real-world situations, indeed!
