Timing Belt Gear Main Bolt for 1.8T and 2.0L TFSI Engines

This gear wheel main bolt, crafted by the well-known U.S. manufacturer ARP, is designed to enhance the strength of the timing belt system in 1.8T and 2.0L TFSI engines.

By using this bolt, you can address a common weakness in Audi and VW engines: the connection between the timing belt drive and the crankshaft. The original components have a high tolerance for movement, which often results in the crankshaft’s guide groove wearing out quickly. This is especially problematic for tuned engines, where the increased power output can accelerate this issue.

Our upgraded bolt provides superior clamping force and is built to aviation standards. Made from high-strength steel, it can be reused, making it ideal for high-performance applications.

  • Not compatible with 1.8T longitudinally mounted engines (e.g., AEB engine)

This bolt works perfectly with our high-torque crank gear kit. Use stock torque specs: 90 Nm + 90°.
