Vargas one way crankcase breather, oil cap for BMW B58 engine
Popular BMW B58 engine has it’s own flaws like all of them, the fragile PCV system being one of them. After you’ve opted for the VTT PCV cap, a nice upgrade is this oil cap breather equipped with one-way valve.
Release the crankcase pressure without trouble, improve turbo draining and optimize the power output. This breather fits in the place of OEM oil cap, and engine cover can be removed without taking this off.
This system is built with 4 layer stainless steel baffle for complete oil control, inside you’ll find a check valve with a PTFE valve, topped with high quality filter. As long as you clean the filter periodically during services, this system keeps the oil mist in minimum avoiding oily mist or stains in the engine bay.
Important, please note that this kit has been designed for 340i F3x model. Hood clearance might vary in different models, and fitment cannot be guaranteed. However, we havent’ been notified of any fitment issues so far. Check the hood clearance after fitting by carefully closing your hood and keeping an eye on proper tolerance with the hood and hood insulation.
This kit comes in two types, 2-prong style is used in Gen1 engines, while Snap-in style with grooves fits the TU engine. Check for correct type by removing your oil cap before ordering.
Installation takes typically 5 to 15 minutes.
