997.1 Turbo intake plenum for optimized power output. The incredible 997 Porsche Turbo is one of the revolutionary and capable Porsche Turbos that have came out of Germany. The already impressive power can be further increased with the 997 Turbo IPD Intake Plenums.

The patented IPD Plenum design is a highly effective upgrade with all forced induction systems, including the 997 Turbo. The power and torque gains provided by the IPD Plenum are substantial, consistently surpassing factory power curves from start to redline. The most significant power increases occur in the midrange, where they are most needed.

Maximum horsepower gains range from +30 to 35, depending on the vehicle’s condition and any pre-existing modifications. The 997 Turbo plenums offer smooth and linear power delivery with noticeably quicker boost response, creating a longer and more favorable power band. These plenums provide reliable performance for both street and motorsport applications, enhancing the already thrilling Porsche Turbo driving experience.

Unlike the 996 Turbo, the 997 Turbo requires an “adaptation” period, which can be achieved through a series of hard pulls on the dyno or 10 to 50 miles of aggressive driving.
IPD advises that this should only be done on a closed circuit race track.

The 997 Turbo has a very sensitive ECU/DME, making it susceptible to external environmental adjustments. Therefore, proper, adequate, and consistent cooling is essential when dyno testing any 997 Turbo to obtain accurate and reliable figures before and after each test.

It is highly recommended that all Turbo Plenum installations be performed by qualified and trained Porsche technicians.

74mm or 82mm Porsche Plenum?

This Plenum is available in two different sizes.

• 74mm version fits with stock throttle body, and offers impressive performance gains for both stock, and upgraded turbos and supportive mods. Power curve stays as driveable as possible.
• 82mm Motorsport version fits with Porsche GT3 throttle body (Genuine Porsche part available as an option), and offers highest possible airflow especially at higher rpms, and in heavily modified setups.
