BMW intercoolers
In turbo engines the intake air temperature is absolutely critical. With every degree up or down, you will lose or gain that previous horsepower. Hot air is less dense and oxygen rich by nature (resulting in less power output), but in addition to that your Engine Control Unit will actively limit the engine power whenever the IAT shows any signs of rising.
Therefore a high performance intercooler is always a beneficial upgrade, even in stock engine to help you maintain the full horsepower in hot climate or during long / repeated acceleration.
Intercooler for BMW 1/2/3/4 series and M2 with N20/N26/N47/N55 engines

Intercooler core and construction
OEM BMW tube and fin intercooler is designed to support low boost levels and air flow. However, once boost levels and air flow are increased, the OEM unit simply can not keep up with the cooling demands any more.
These F* cores come with high density bar-and-plate design to allow efficient temperature reduction with minimal pressure drop. Intercooler is specifically designed for upgraded turbo cars running larger turbos and higher boost pressures. Core features a cast aluminum end tanks for improved flow and durability.
Installation
All needed accessories are included, to make installation possible even in home garage if you will. Normal tools and equipment with a free evening to go with should be plenty.
This kit doesn’t need modifications for bumper or structures.
Depending on your trim level and model, it’s always good to be prepared for some minor trimming or honing for that perfect fitment.
