Airtec Motorsport upgraded intercooler
Airtec intercooler for VAG MQB EA888 GEN3, Volkswagen Golf MK7 / Mk7.5, Seat, Audi models
Manufactured in UK, this IC upgrade offers a great upgrade to keep the intake temps in check. While these engines are known to be potential for tuners of various levels, the stock intercooler struggles to keep IAT in check with anything stronger than mild remap, if even with that.
With hybrid turbo upgrades especially, this upgrade becomes critical.
This intercooler core is designed to replace the OEM core, and comes with needed parts and accessories. With the high flow, high capacity core and flow designed metallic end tanks this core is capable for high boost levels with ease.
In enclosed dyno graph, you can see a comparison between stock and Airtec coolers, in a car equipped with Cobra cat-back and Revo Stage1 remap. Even at this level, stock core has major problems maintaining the reasonaly IAT level after multiple runs which leads to significant power loss.
